Robert Szymczak 

I am a medical doctor, specialized in emergency medicine. I have Phd in the field of  mountain medicine. I am a lecturer of emergency medicine (Department of Emergency Medicine -  Medical University of Gdansk, Poland) as well as mountain and expedition medicine (Medical Center for Postgraduate Education - Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland). I work in Helicopter Emergency Medical Service in Gdansk, Poland.

I took part in many high altitude expeditions as a physician and a climber (Mont Blanc, Elbrus, Lenin Peak, Chan Tengri, Passu Sar, Island Peak, Lobuche East, Nanga Parbat, Dhaulagiri, Broad Peak, Mount Everest). I participated as a climbing doctor in three Polish, national, winter expeditions: Nanga Parbat 8125m (2006-2007) and twice Broad Peak 8047m (2008-2009 and 2010/2011). I was on the summit of three eight-thousand-meter peaks - Dhaulagiri (8167m-2008), Nanga Parbat (8125m-2010) and Mount Everest (8848m-2012). I was awarded the gold medal (Medalla al Merito Deprtivo) for the participation in the international rescue action for the Spanish himalaist Inakie Ochoa de Olza on Annapurna in 2008.

I run medical  training for the Polish national team of himalaists. I was responsible for the  medical coverage of Polish national expeditions (Nanga Parbat, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I, Lhotse, Makalu, Manaslu, Broad Peak Middle, K2).

I am a member of  the International Society for Mountain Medicine and the Polish Society for Mountain Medicine and Rescue.

The company was founded in 2006. The goal of MedEverest is education in the field of mountain medicine. We deal with all the medical aspects of high altitude sojourn.  We organize medical coverages of trekkings and mountain expeditions.
